Preservation Process
Cleaning - We clean monuments with water and specialty chemicals designed for historic masonry, and when needed soft bristled brushed by hand.
Straightening and resetting - Grave markers will be leveled. Stacked Muti-piece monuments will be assembled with an appropriate preservation mortar. Tablet markers that do not have foundation will be set in a hole to the proper depth and filled near the top with a special gravel and sand mixture. Tablet markers with a slotted foundation will be set in the foundation using an appropriate preservation mortar. We use only approved preservation methods from the DNR and well-known Monument Restoration Specialists.
Repairing breaks - Breaks are repaired using specialty preservation mortars and epoxies.
